The Origin client is far less efficient and more resource hungry than the Steam client. It also forces you to launch the origin client, naturally since the game would be an Origin game in this case. This can leave you in a situation of being unable to play the game at all because sometimes, for some people, the game will not launch when started from the launcher. The launcher is notoriously unreliable and the 1.69 patch prevents you from bypassing it. It is there, but I strongly advise not doing it. I didn't find that particular feature to be too terribly useful and moved my game back to Steam for other reasons, but it's there if you feel it's critical to your game to have it.
